Current Stats on Geocaching.com:

I became interested in Geocaching some years ago when it was reported that an unmarked cache had closed one of the gates at Hill AFB. This cache was placed under a freeway overpass near the gate. At that time, I was unable to afford a GPSr, so I just dreamed.

In December of 2006, I received a GPSr as a gift and started caching with a vengeance. Shortly after I started caching, my son (who was almost 8 at the time) joined me also. He is currently saving for his own GPSr. My son, littletrep, is my primary caching buddy. His height and size make him very valuable for many caches. Every now and then, my brother (monkeyboy and associates) and I get together and grab a few together.

000-100 caches in 80 days. 1/2 of them were found between days 65 and 80.
101-200 caches in 23 days.
201-300 caches in 45 days.
--Took a brief (long) hiatus after my daugter was born (my wife needed my help).
300-400 caches in 234 days.
400-500 caches in 87 days.
500-600 caches in 24 days.
600-700 caches in 54 days.
--Didn't cache much while training for a marathon (tough to find the time to work, train and cache).
700-800 caches in 271 days.
800-900 caches in 362 days.
900-1000 caches in 255 days.
